I am a self-confessed chocoholic. This means that there aren’t many days that go by when I don’t have some! On a day to day basis I try and buy dark chocolate because it is that little bit healthier. Also, as it can be quite rich in flavour I don’t feel the need to gobble my way through a whole pack of it! There are some really delicious dark chocolate brands out there, one of them being Chocolate and Love.
Chocolate and Love has the most beautiful branding and packaging, which of course makes it feel just so luxurious. The packaging is bright and rich with vibrant colours and patterns. The designs are also bespoke and hand painted which makes them extra special. The chocolate is very high quality and comes in seven different flavours: Coffee, Creamy Dark, Rich Dark, Mint, Orange, Panama and popular Sea Salt & Caramel. The Sea Salt & Caramel is one of my favourites, the salty and sweet flavours go so well with the bitter chocolate. The orange chocolate also is so nice. I have always loved that orangey flavour alongside chocolate.
The story behind Chocolate and Love is also a beautiful one. Richard and Burgette, husband and Wife, founded the brand back in 2001. They fell in love with one another and shared a desire to create the most ethical chocolate company in the world. What a sweet story! Their chocolate is also organic and fair trade which is something to respect.
What’s more, this chocolate really is a very healthy chocolate option. The bars use more cocao and less sugar than a lot of bars on the market. They are also gluten free and completely natural, using no additives. Furthermore, all but two of Chocolate and Love’s chocolates are dairy free so are also vegan-friendly. You can find out more about the brand on their website here.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, these could be the perfect gift for your partner. The name, Chocolate and Love is very suitable and as the brand are based on a love story, it brings that extra bit of romance. <3
