The Cohorted Beauty Box just keeps on getting better… I was impressed with the March Beauty Box but the May eddition just takes it to a whole new level! I’m talking designer brands and full sized eye shadow palettes for just £19.99…
The 4 products in the May Beauty Box are:
- Michael Kors Lipstick – Dame
- Dolce and Gabbana Nail Polish – Perfection
- Too Faced Eye shadow – Poison Orchid
- Cargo eye shadow palette – Vintage Escape
First up, the Michael Kors Lipstick. I am totally in love with the beautiful packaging for this product. It just screams glamour. The lipstick itself is extremely hydrating which is a huge bonus. There is nothing worse than a lipstick that completely drys out your lips. You can read my full review of this lipstick here.
Next up there is the Dolce and Gabbana Nail polish… oh my goodness what a beautiful shade! Nude varnishes are my absolute favourite so I was very happy with this product. The only thing I would say is that you need at least two coats to get a nice, opaque coverage which is how I like it. If you do just want a transparent shine though, one coat will do you fine. The packaging for this product is just beautiful, I will definitely be keeping this out on my dressing table to display!
The third product is this pretty little Too Faced eye shadow palette. I was a little scared when I first saw the colour… I wasn’t sure that I could pull off what looked like such a bright purple. However, the shade is actually much duller than it looks. I would say it is more like a sparkly dark grey with a purple tinge, so absolutely perfect for adding a bit of colour to a smokey eye. Plus, I love anything sparkly so this is a winner for me.
Last, but most certainly not least, this absolutely stunning Cargo palette.
Firstly, what an amazing product to receive in a beauty box?!
Secondly, as you can see, I couldn’t wait to take my photos before I started using this palette, so my apologies for the scruffy packaging. I have had it just under a week and I have already used it nearly every day.
The colours are just beautiful. I love the shade, ‘Crisp’ for sweeping over my lid. I used the shade, ‘Withered Leaves’ last week in the crease of my eye and I fell in love. I never thought I would go for a green shade but this happened to match my outfit perfectly. I could rave on and on about all the shades that I have used so far to be honest.
This is my new favourite eye shadow palette and has knocked my Make Up Revolution Iconic 1 palette from first place! One other thing that needs mentioning, the brush is so so good. Often, brushes that come with palettes are a bit rubbish and I never really use them but this one is of such a great quality The left end (in the above photo) is great for an overall sweep and for blending whilst the right end is so perfect for adding a darker shade into the crease. I am so impressed with this palette and I cannot stop using it!
So as you can probably guess, I am over the moon with this box. Sometimes with beauty boxes, the items just get thrown into a box of samples/bits and bobs to be forgotten about but all of these items are fast becoming part of my everyday make up staples.
Have you got any of the Cohorted Beauty Boxes?
What do you think?
