WICKED and Covent Garden

‘It’s time to trust my instincts, close my eyes and leap’ – Here is just a little collection of photographs of the things I got up to in and around London amongst the chaos of the the Fashion Week. I was lucky enough to win 4 tickets to see my all time favourite musical, Wicked. I went along with some very close friends and we had the most incredible evening there. If you haven’t seen Wicked I cannot recommend it enough, it is so emotional and spellbinding whilst displaying all the best of elements of a musical – incredible costumes, dancing and the most powerful voices you will hear!

I absolutely love being in London. There is so much to do with such a huge variety of different places to visit. Even though I love discovering new places, every time I am in London I always find myself back at Covent Garden. I don’t care if that makes me incredibly touristy, there is something so charming and compelling about it that draws me back every time. I love just wondering around the square, looking in all the amazing shops. From the high end, designer ones to the market style stalls. The is so much going on there and I just love how friendly the atmosphere is.

Being a huge fan of macarons, Laduree in Covent Garden was naturally on the list of places to go to. I am saving myself until my holiday to Paris to indulge in any though so this time I was ‘just looking’. I was also ‘just looking’ at all the amazing cakes and jams on the stalls. Did you see the amazing rainbow cake?! After resisting so much cake temptation, I decided to treat myself to a strawberry and coconut vegan cupcake from Lola’s. It was delicious!! Proof that vegan eating can still be tasty and indulgent.

I can’t wait to be back in London again. Where are your favourite places to go?

Lots of love,

Lovely pictures! I always tend to avoid Covent Garden because of the huge amount of people, but now seeing your pictures I think I should make a visit again soon ;). It’s always a place I take friends and family to though.

Yes, you’re absolutely right! Yet I don’t tend to go there by myself hehe! But it’s nice to show friends and family around and see their reactions! I was the same when I visited for the first time 😉

Wicked is one of my favorites! Too bad I’m in Asia and these musicals only come once in a blue moon. We primarily only know of these musicals through cast recordings.

I’m planning to go over to London in Spring 2016, so I hope Wicked will still be there.

That’s great to hear! I have heard rumors that the big Broadway hit Aladdin will move to the Dominion Theatre in Spring 2016, and as a fan of the animated film since young, I just want to see the opening night in London, especially since I missed the one in NYC.
